Are you lacking enough volunteers?
Volunteer victories come to those who ask, delegate, and appreciate. In a Component Relations Roundtable in July, Caryl Tynan, CAE, director of membership services at the American College of Phlebology, shared some ideas that will help you recruit, retain, and maintain effective volunteers.
- Include the full staff as membership specialists. Remember you are one organization with one mission to serve members. Cross-train staff and reward them when they do it correctly. Ring a bell in the office for all to hear when someone recruits a member. Make sure everyone knows how to access data and take payments.
