At AOC, chapters had been managing finances, membership, and operations on their own, each in their own way. Shelley Frost, Executive Director, said, “It was a huge mess because we weren’t involved.” Staff couldn’t see what chapters were doing because nothing was recorded in the old association management system (AMS).
“Volunteer leaders don’t have degrees in finance. They need something basic. Instead of having separate accounts for banking, PayPal, Eventbrite, the website, and so on, now they have one tool to access data and manage chapter business. Reports are much easier too. It’s a chapter-in-a-box solution.”
